What Vegans Eat – Day 1761: Travel Edition, San Jose, CA


First Meal: Yesterday I had Whole Foods deliver some food to our hotel. This morning we had a wonderful hotel breakfast, because we provided all the food! Gary set it up beautifully on a small table in our room. We had Grapes, Avocado, Baked Tofu, Mary’s Crackers and Lundberg’s Thin Stackers Red Rice and Quinoa Crackers, all organic of course. The sun came out and we walked to Whole Foods to get Gary some peroxide. He had an old filling fall out. There’s never a good time for this to happen but it’s worse when you are away from home. We picked up some Forager Cashewgurt for probiotics along with Blueberries.

Second Meal: We’ve got our umbrellas and walked through downtown San Jose a bit, through “Christmas in the Park” and over to the restaurant Good Karma. We had not been here in a long time and it was the right moment to return. We each ordered bowls with Beans and Grains and Spicy sauces. I got mine with Kale. They have a great selection of beers on tap but neither of us were in the mood. We will have to come back. We went back to the hotel for a quick nap and slept the whole night through. I guess we were tired.
