First Meal: I am eating in solidarity with Gary who had a tooth extracted. That means purées, mashed, mushy foods. Baby food. Sometimes food like this is nice, liked mashed potatoes or a creamy soup. But when there’s nothing to chew, you can go nuts! I warmed up a plate of three puréed dishes: Red Potatoes, Yellow Sweet Potatoes and Kabocha Squash. They were all delicious, just soft. How do babies deal eating like this!
Gary wasn’t interested in my new favorite soup so I made some just for me: cooked Rice with fresh Ginger, Mushroom Powder, Water and Miso. Today’s rice is a blend of Red, Black and Brown. The miso is Barley.
Second Meal: There was a leftover stew with Tomatoes, Corn, Garbanzo Beans, Lentils and Black Eyed Peas. I blended it up with some of the Squash and served it with Guacamole.
Third Meal: Not inspired about all these puréed foods but always hungry we had more Red Potatoes.
