What Vegans Eat – Day 1810

Share

First Meal: This morning’s first course consisted of sliced Oranges.

We went with the “Hotel Breakfast” again. It’s a favorite. Homemade Einkorn Wheat Bread with Almond Butter and Prune Butter. I am committed to eating two Apples a day. I had one at breakfast.

We had a date to meet our friends John and Chris at the new Farmacy restaurant in SoHo. We were super hungry when we got there. Gary ordered the Nachos which I shared with him. I love trying the Nachos plates at different vegan restaurants. This one was very good with Corn chips, Guacamole, Mexican Frijoles with Marinara Salsa & ‘Sour cream’.

I got the Coconut Curry with Vegetables and Brown Rice.

Gary ordered the Mexican Plate which was a bit similar to the Nachos and what he was in the mood for: Sprouted Coriander Rice, Romaine Lettuce, Tomatoes, Guacamole, Frijoles, Chipotle ‘Sour Cream’, whipped Squash, Corn Chips & Jalapeño Dressing

Chris had the Pad Thai with Brown Rice noodles, Tofu, Chilli, fresh Lime & toasted Cashews and John tried the Lasagna. All the food is pretty clean for a restaurant, not too oily or salty.

I insisted on dessert. John recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding, Steamed Date Pudding served with a Caramel Sauce & Vanilla Nice Cream. I wanted something sweet and it was good but when we return I want to try some of the other desserts. The Raw Chocolate Tart was calling my name.
