Breakfast: Gary is home and we got to sit down for breakfast. We warmed up some of the Buckwheat Waffles I had froze the week before. I made a quick strawberry coulis and Gary topped his waffles with Peanut Butter and Apricot Butter. It went well with Sliced Oranges and Earl Gray Tea. Gary was happy to be home and enjoy a good cup of tea. Our tea starts with clean, distilled tap water (find out more about that here) and bulk organic tea from Arbor Teas.
Daily Green Juice: Kale, Collards, Cellery, Carrots, Lemon, Ginger
Dinner: Our GoOrganicNYC delivery normally comes early in the day on Tuesday but had not arrived yet. We were hungry and we both agreed on heading out to Simple Veggie Cuisine. Since we knew it was closing soon we wanted to get in a last supper. We began with the Roasted Veggie Meat Wonton Noodle Soup.
You’ve seen this one before, the restaurant’s best selling item, Hot Pot Veggie Lamb.
Our favorite item that is an absolute must every time we go is the sautéed Chinese Broccoli.
If you haven’t had a chance to try Simple Veggie and you live in the New York Metro area try it before the end of the month. You will not be disappointed. Make sure you get the Chinese Broccoli! We’ve been told that the owner of Green Melody, the Chinese vegetarian restaurant in Syosset that closed about 5 years ago will be taking over. If that’s true then we have something to look forward to!
