Breakfast: The Green Super Power Smoothie is back for a second day in a row. Gary loves them, so much so, he is going green! sticking with the green theme, I had Green Kukitcha Tea.
Lunch: Planning and testing recipes for our next food show, we get to eat the samples and enjoyed a buffet of Marinated Tempeh, Apples, Tomatoes and Olives.
Daily Green Juice: Kale, Celery, Carrots, Broccoli, Lemon, Ginger
Dinner: We were invited to the opera. For dinner we consumed a large portion of New York culture at The Met’s Il Trovatore.
Real life mixed with fictional drama. The Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky, recently was diagnosed with a brain tumor and he returned to the Metropolitan Opera for 3 performance before going back for more treatments. The audience gave him long and loud ovations when he first entered on stage and during his final bow. It was all love. I could not help being moved to tears from the audience reaction. For a moment, I did not feel like a misanthrope. Read all about it here.
Evening: We knew there was a small Sweet As Honey Cake in the freezer and it was calling to us. It was served with some Peanut Butter and Apricot Butter along with Teeccino.
