What Vegans Eat – Day 31

Share

Breakfast: This was a grab and go morning. I had an appointment for a blowout with stylist Evilina at Sera Salon to get ready for our last day of filming episode 3 of the REAL Good News in Review. I grabbed an apple, filled a glass bottle with Jasmine Green Tea, filled a bag of my vegan hair supplies and was off.

Lunch: There is no time or place for cooking when your home becomes a film studio. Fortunately there were leftovers. Lovely leftovers: Field Roast Sausage with Sautéed Onions and Escarole, Spicy Marinara, Sweet Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts. This and my daily green juice of kale, collards, celery, carrots and lemon would keep me fueled until we dined on the Transition Kitchen set.

Dinner: We stayed focused and moved relatively seamlessly from one segment to the next, moving things around as necessary, changing clothes and scripts throughout the evening. We wrapped up around 10pm and sat down in our “dream restaurant” and had an extravagant dinner. Pasta: Vegan Lasagna with Béchamel, Mozzarella and Spicy Marinara. Main Course: Tempeh in Bourguignon Sauce, Grilled Escarole, Radicchio, Onions, Tomatoes and Eggplant perfectly paired with Querciabella Chianti Classica 2010.

Weary and satisfied with full bellies we tidied up the set, returned the film studio to our living area and went on to dreamland.
