What Vegans Eat – Day 546: Special Travel Edition

Lunch: On the day of a show I find it is important to eat well early. The rest of the day you are fueled by adrenalin. Gary made me a huge Mixed Green Salad with garden Tomatoes, Fresh Lemon Juice, Avocado and Little Seed Caesar Dressing.

Daily Green Juice: Kale, Celery, Cucumber and lots of Lemon
 
Evening: We did it! The reading was a success. The response was fantastic. We are ready to take this piece on the road and ultimately back home to New York.

At first we thought we would go out for a late night celebration at Original Joe’s. I used to go there after performance when I lived in the Bay Area in the ’80s and ’90s. But then Gary remembered it was only open until 11pm and it was already 10:30pm. Then we had an idea of going to Safeway. We walked around the store and there really wasn’t anything we wanted. We were so full of energy and couldn’t make any decisions! Our friends Maura and Stan had come to the show and instead of flowers brought us a gorgeous basket of produce and treats. That saved the day. Thank you Maura and Stan!!

We got back to the pool house and munched on Plaintain Chips, Tomatoes, Carrots, Gorp and Anchor Steam Beer.
