Breakfast: Change it up. Not everyday has to be an oatmeal day. Gary made a big pot of Millet last night and this morning I fluffed it up and filled our bowls with it, topped with Bananas, Raisins, Apples and Coconut Milk. I could not get over how sweet it tasted. Maybe we should have millet more often. I had my cold brewed Jasmine Tea and Gary went with classic Vanilla Black Tea with Cashew Milk.
Dinner: We were off again to the theater, this time to see Fun Home. I made a giant Kale Salad toosed with leftover cooked Cauliflower and Carrots, Green Zenphony’s Brown and Red Rice mix and massaged with a Ranch-style dressing Gary whipped up with silken Tofu, Miso and Herbs. This salad requires extra time for chewing.
Evening: Don’t ask me what we thought of the musical. We are always critical and this one was full of flaws. The most frustrating is the American audience which gives a standing ovation to just about everything these days. We came home and wanted to clear the bad taste in our mouths and the sick feeling in our stomachs. I drank my daily green juice with Kale, Collards, Celery and Carrots and Gary had a Samuel Adams Boston Lager. We brought out the mysterious box of matzoh gifted to us last week from my mom and ate the remaining pieces with the usual schmears. I made this special treat: Matzoh with Peanut Butter and melted Dark Chocolate. This was too easy to be this good.
