Breakfast: Although we never tire of oats, sometimes Buckwheaties are in order. This was going to be a tough day, after hearing about the atrocities in Turkey and Berlin, and knowing that the Electoral College was going to vote for someone that did not win the popular vote, someone that I do not feel is qualified in any way to lead our country. As I mentioned before, I think of the Wheaties slogan whenever I go for my Buckwheaties cereal, “The Breakfast of Champions.” I need to fuel myself to be a champion, to have the energy and motivation to withstand whatever evil may come out of the next four years with our federal government. I poured the Buckwheaties in my bowl, topped it with Coconut, Blueberries, Flax Seeds, Almonds and Soy Milk. I crunched every spoonful in gratitude of all the hard work done by so many different people who brought all these ingredients to my bowl, to nourish me this morning.
Daily Green Juice: Kale, Collards, Cabbage, Celery, Lemon, Ginger.
Dinner: This meal was spectacular, and it was all leftovers. We started with bowls of Roasted Squash soup, topped with toasted Sunflower Seeds. We each had seconds.
We finished the Cassoulet and the Broccoli/Kale Sauté, and made sandwiches with REAL-style Meatloaf, Meatloaf Tomato Sauce, Grilled Vegetables and Challah.
A little later I made a pot of Teeccino and had a couple of small squares of Dark Chocolate.
Evening: Still feeling profound despair about the future of our country and the world, we soothed ourselves with toast. Toast from the Challah bread I made a few days before, with Peanut Butter and Apricot Butter. A little toast, with some good sleep should help. Tomorrow is another day.
