What Vegans Eat – Day 1227, Travel Edition – Bay Area, CA

Breakfast: Once again, I tried to sleep in but it was too bright. I put on my JetBlue eye mask but it didn’t do a very good job of blocking out the sunlight. Today, unlike yesterday, I did not wake up hungry. Gary made a big pot of Steel Cut Oats. He took a bowl but I wasn’t ready. I had Watermelon instead.

A little later in the morning I reheated the Oats and enjoyed them.

Lunch: Gary prepared a late lunch to fuel us before going to our eveing rehearsal. He made us each individual plates with a dish made with Spinach, Tofu, and Black Beans topped with Almond Ricotta, Nutritional Yeast and Hot Sauce. This Almond Ricotta is amazing.

We had some time before rehearsal and we visited the Crepes Bistro not far from where we are staying and close to the theater. As much as we would have loved to have ordered crepes, we were stuffed and got Green Juices to go.

Dinner: We never had dinner but nibbled on Peanuts and Figs when we got back after rehearsal.
