Breakfast: I’d been wanting to make Buckwheat cereal for a long time. This was the morning! I cooked up some buckwheat groats with water and sweet, ripe, soft pears. I topped the cereal with chopped Walnuts Flax Seeds and Strawberry slices. Buckwheat has a strong, unique flavor. I love it. If you are tired of oatmeal (and I don’t know how anyone could be) mix it up in the morning with different intact grains and pseudo grains, like buckwheat.
Lunch: Gary was going to be my guest on IT’S ALL ABOUT FOOD again. We were taking some time to discuss all the topics we wanted to cover. It was important to fuel up before the show. We had big Romaine Lettuce Salads topped with Masala-spiced Tofu no-egg Salad.
Daily Green Juice: Kale, Collards, Celery, Carrots.
Dinner: It’s Pizza Night! With VeganMozz complements of Miyoko Schinner we had to make pizza. I made the gluten-free pizza dough and Gary made his Spicy Marinara. We each had our own pizzas and added toppings according to our own tastes. I loaded mine with Porcini Mushrooms and Roasted Red Peppers, and a dusting of oregano and red pepper flakes.
Gary’s was “sans” mushrooms and more of the VeganMozz. And yes, there was beer too. We each had a bottle of Blue Moon.
