First order of business was to clean up after the party. We had done most of the dishes before going to bed. I finished that up and then started on the refrigerator. The party leftovers needed to be packaged up in small containers and I had to decide what would be frozen. The freezer needed to be rearranged too to make room for the new items. When it was all done I felt very good about my accomplishment. We have more wine and beer taking up real estate in the refrigerator but that won’t last forever.
Lunch: After the apartment was back in order we sat with out computers to catch up on everything that fell behind over the last few days. I cut up some Celery and Carrot Sticks to eat with the Kite Hill Cream Cheese with added fresh Chives. We also nibbled on Baked Tofu and Cherry Tomato Skewers, homemade mini burger rolls and Almond Cheeses.
Gary whipped up some Teeccino with Soy Milk Foam, topped with Maple Syrup.
Daily Green Juice: Kale, Collards, Celery, Carrots, Ginger, Lemon.
Dinner: We had more of the same – Celery and Carrot sticks with Kite Hill Cream Cheese, Carrot “Salmon”, Figs, Almond Cheeses and a dish we never got to serve our guests – Grated Potato and Yam Galettes topped with Tofu Sour Cream with Chives. The Birthday Party continues.
Evening: We made a pot of Vanilla Almond Rooibos Tea before calling it a night.
Do you have a recipe for Gary’s Teeccino and soy milk foam? Looks fantastic!
Have you tried Teeccino? If not, it’s a fantastic caffeine-free grain beverage that you can brew like tea or coffee. Gary uses this little tool to make the foam with soy milk. You can use any plant milk you like. Sometimes he drizzles the top with maple syrup or sprinkles with cinnamon.
