Breakfast: Today’s rehearsal for The Music Man was the Sitzprobe. This is where the cast sits and sings with the orchestra, integrating the two before the run throughs with the musicians. Gary and I had our morning Teeccino and took off early for the theater to set up. Lunch: We did not bring any…
Breakfast: Sometimes I put celery stalks in water to keep them fresh. It looks like this celery got really chilled in the refrigerator. Fortunately the stalks were fine and ready to go into my breakfast smoothie. This smoothie had Kale, Blueberries, Peanut Butter, Celery and Water. It never looks as good as it tastes.…
Breakfast: We have only a few ingredients to work with while on the road for meal prep, but we like what we have. Gary made breakfast sandwiches, using organic sprouted Corn Tortillas, Bananas and Peanut Butter. Lunch: I gobbled up the leftover Rice with Garbanzo Beans and Tahini and cooked Sweet Potato while I…
Breakfast: We were happy to find some bags of frozen Blueberries in the freezer section of the refrigerator in the basement where we are staying. We left them here in December. They were a welcomed topping to our morning Rolled Oats with Bananas and Soy Milk. Lunch: With Gary out running errands and going…
I got up very early to prerecord my radio show. I was interviewing Dr. Melanie Joy. She’s in Berlin, the station is in New York and I am in California. It’s amazing what we can do today with technology. Too bad we haven’t figured out how to make it the same time everywhere around the…
Breakfast: It’s the week before we open and there is so much to be done. We need to stay strong and flu-free. We started the day with Grapefruit. We haven’t gone food shopping since we moved yesterday so the materials for our morning Oats are slim. Fortunately we have some lovely homemade Plum Jam…
Breakfast: We are leaving the pool house today in Monte Sereno and moving to Gary’s sister and brother-in-law’s home for a week or so. We are almost all packed up. Gary prepared breakfast with what we had remaining, Rolled Oats, Soy Milk, Apricots and Walnuts. And fresh Oranges. During this flu epidemic I am grateful…
Breakfast: At lunch yesterday, our friend Wilbur brought us a bag of Grapefruits from his tree. We had one when we woke up. Next up was classic Oatmeal with Apples, Raisins, Apricots and Walnuts. Dinner: We are rehearsing every day now. Since it’s the weekend rehearsals are during the day, not in the…
Breakfast: On our late night theater schedule we sometimes skip breakfast or have it at lunchtime. Since we were meeting our friend Wilbur for lunch, we just had Teeccino. Lunch: Wilbur was our fiddler in last year’s production of Fiddler on the Roof and he is also subbing for us in the band on…
